Deployments
The Deployments page appears under the Configuration tab and displays the following series of color-coded tiles that represent each of your deployments and their deployment types:
- Manual deployments: List of the appliances, agents, hosts, and collectors from your Threat Manager, Log Manager, and Web Security Manager subscriptions.
- Amazon Web Services (Cloud Insight and Cloud Insight Essentials)
- Amazon Web Services (Cloud Defender)
- Microsoft Azure deployments
- All deployments: List of the appliances, agents, hosts, and collectors from all deployments, including AWS and Azure, in your account.
From the Deployments page, you can click the icon to add a new deployment, or you can click a deployment tile to edit its deployment settings.
Add a deployment
The Alert Logic console allows you to add AWS and Azure deployments to Cloud Defender, Cloud Insight, and Cloud Insight Essentials. To add a deployment, click the icon, and then enter the requested information to provide Alert Logic with third-party access to the specified cloud environment. Edit deployment settings
Deployment settings differ, depending on the deployment and deployment type you choose.
Deployment settings for Cloud Defender deployments
Click EDIT on a Cloud Defender deployment tile to view, set up, or edit third-party access to AWS assets. For more information, see Configure Alert Logic Cloud Defender AWS cross-account role access.
Deployment settings for Cloud Insight Essentials and Cloud Insight deployments
When you click an Cloud Insight or Cloud Insight Essentials deployment tile, you can view, set up, or edit the following for the selected deployment:
- Provide Alert Logic with third-party access to AWS assets. For more information, see Get Started with Alert Logic Cloud Insight and Cloud Insight Essentials.
- Set the scope of protection for the deployment. For more information, see Set deployment scope.
- Select subnets in which to install a scanning appliance for a Cloud Insight deployment created with Guided Mode. For more information, see Subnet Information for Cloud Insight deployments created with Guided Mode.
Deployment settings for Microsoft Azure deployments
Click EDIT on a Microsoft Azure deployment tile to view, set up, or edit third-party access to Azure assets. For more information, see Configure RBAC roles in Microsoft Azure.
Deployment settings for Manual deployments
Click the Manual Deployments tile to view, set up, or edit the following for your manual deployments:
- Hosts allows you to view details, metadata, and status history for a selected appliance, or you can manage the updates policies for the appliance. For more information, see Network IDS policies.
- Log Sources allows you to view details, metadata, status history, stats and the appliance history for a selected appliance, or you can manage the policies for the appliance. For more information, see Log Management Collection Sources.
- Networks and Protected Hosts allows you to manage IP ranges and networks for the selected deployment. For more information, see Network IDS policies.
- IDS Appliances allows you to manage appliance configurations in the selected deployment. For more information, see Network IDS policies.
- Log Collectors allows you to view details, metadata, and status history for a selected collector, or you can manage names and tags for the collector.
