Log Manager dashboard

The Dashboard screen provides a high-level, customizable overview of any noteworthy behavior reported by Alert Logic, presented in customizable modules.

Access the Log Management Dashboard

To access the Log Management dashboard, log into the Alert Logic console, click OVERVIEW, click Dashboards, and then click Log Management.

Edit the dashboard

By default, the Alert Logic console displays some modules. You can edit and remove these modules, or you can add new modules. You can create additional tabs to group and organize your modules.

To add a new module:

  1. Navigate to the dashboard and tab where you want to add a new module.
  2. Click Add new.
  3. In the menu, use the drop-down menu to select a new module. You can also scroll down the list of images to select a module.
  4. After you select a module, click Add this module.

To customize a module:

  1. Navigate to the dashboard and tab where you want to edit a module.
  2. Click the gear icon () for the module you want to edit.
  3. In the menu, make your desired changes. For example, you can edit the type of graph used and the time period displayed.

Different modules contain different options to edit.

  1. Click Apply.

To edit a module name:

  1. Navigate to the dashboard and tab where you want to edit a module name.
  2. Click the module name.
  3. Edit the module name.
  4. Click the check icon ().

To delete a module:

  1. Navigate to the dashboard and tab where you want to delete a module.
  2. Click the gear icon () for the module you want to delete.
  3. In the menu that appears, click Delete module.

When you delete a module, the module is only removed from the current tab. If the module is used in another tab, that module will remain active.

To create a new tab:

  1. Navigate to the dashboard where you want to add a new tab.
  2. Click + Add group.
  3. In the expanded area, enter a descriptive name.
  4. Click the check icon ().

You can now add modules to this newly created tab.

To change the default tab:

  1. Navigate to the dashboard and select the tab you want to become the default tab.
  2. Click the wheel icon ().
  3. Click the star icon ().

When you change the default status of a tab, the icon changes to green ().

To edit a tab name:

  1. Navigate to the dashboard and select the tab you want to edit.
  2. Click the wheel icon ().
  3. Edit the tab name.
  4. Click the check icon ().

To delete a tab:

  1. Navigate to the dashboard and select the tab you wish to delete.
  2. Click the wheel icon ().
  3. Click the trash icon ().
  4. Click Confirm.
